On today’s broadcast: Pastor Dwight McKissic of the Cornerstone Baptist Church releases part two of his series of articles on the problems with the Southern Baptist Convention; he says the main problem is a lack of the filling of the Holy Spirit. Egypt’s Coptic Christians have also expressed their relief that Islamist President Morsi is gone. An American Christian imprisoned in North Korea pleads with the U.S. government to do more to release him. And, a worldwide missions initiative is reaching thousands with the Gospel, and it all was sparked by the dream of a 7-year-old girl.

In other news: tragedy struck at several 4th of July celebrations across America; the rise of single black fathers; the NBCI gives a split opinion on SCOTUS’ recent rulings about homosexual marriage; half of Americans think the rise of the “nones” is bad for the country; and the Obama administration says forbidding homeschooling actually promotes tolerance (What?).

Additionally, the Hillsong Conference is simply awesome; Catholics and Protestants unite to oppose the HHS contraceptive mandate; the White House says it can’t call the controversial Westboro Church a hate group; Islamists are disappointed over Morsi’s removal in Egypt (of course); and Nelson Mandela is being kept alive on a breathing machine.

Enjoy your extended holiday weekend.

As you go throughout this day, keep this word in mind: Isaiah 12:4 says, “Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.”

On today’s broadcast: Conservative N. Carolina lawmakers have joined those in Ohio and Texas in pushing for more restrictions on abortions in the state. Also, people are asking if its fair for the Obama administration to delay penalties for businesses, but not for individuals. (What do you think?) The biggest news of the day comes out of Egypt: the army has moved into Cairo and has reportedly removed President Morsi from power and suspended the constitution.

In other news, Dr. Cornel West is upset over President Obama’s support for homosexuals to the detriment of black Americans; the famed Crystal Cathedral is now in Catholic hands; Benny Hinn has been called the “world’s greatest scammer”; and Ireland is likely to legalize abortions in extreme circumstance.
